Well it happened.  All the starbucks across America closed down yesterday to conduct some sort of training.  A sad day in history.  Not sure when they will re-open, I think sometime today.   Luckily, I have a stash here at home and I made it through the night. LOL.  Of course, they stock Starbucks coffee at the all of the three grocery stores within walking distance of me, so I think I’m safe anyway.

I stayed up all night, nothing new there, and managed to get through 2 chapters of rough drafts on my WIP.  Right now, they are really rough, mostly dialogue and a thought here and there, but that is how I write.  Dialogue first.  Then I go through scene by scene laying in details one at a time, smells, sounds, feelings, etc.    Anyhow, that will give me a few weeks headstart when I have to start a new job soon.

Believe it or not, I actually don’t have a song stuck in my head today.  And I’m going to try to resist the urge to go to youtube just to find a video to post here LOL.  I’m back to writing, and then maybe a short nap.

Well it’s Tuesday already.  I got offered a minumum wage job yesterday.  WOOHOOO.  Yeah right.  It would cost me more than half of that in gas money just to get to work everyday.   

I just noticed this blog has no spell check, I might be in trouble.  Before Microsoft Word came along I was a fairly decent speller, now… I’m lucky I can spell my own name.

Today, I have a Johnny Diesel song stuck in my head.  And really posting the video here is just an excuse for me to waste time on Youtube lol.  Still hearing it sometimes helps jumble it free.  Othertimes, it only makes it worse.  I first heard this song when I was in Australia, where this band is from.  Took me years to find the CD…

Okay, back to writing.  Yesterday I finished my rough draft of Chapter 3.  The only problem being that I have this bad feeling the pacing is off and the events happening should be around Chapter 6.  Still I have no idea how to fix this problem.  We’ll see what happens…

I really need to post to this blog more often, if nothing else so I can remember my password!

 I lost my day job last week.  So I have been job hunting.  Hopefully, I can find something that doesn’t take up ALL my time so I can still write.

Been feeling a bit run down lately, managed to crawl out of bed late in the afternoon.  Now it is 10pm and I am thinking of making some coffee and calling it a writing night.  Muddled through a chapter and a half this afternoon.  Now to go in and edit it.  Or actually add something besides dialogue lol.

First though, have to get the song unstuck from my head.  Best to do that otherwise I will revert over to music instead of writing and waste hours of time…

Today it is “Untitled” by Simple Plan.  After I posted this video, I was sucked into Youtube where I wasted almost an hour watching several of Simple Plans videos lol.  Maybe I need to go back to dial up!

 

Well, it is Monday.   And I couldn’t be happier.  I have had a toothache all weekend and waiting for the dentist offices to open today.  I hope they aren’t closed for president’s day.  I can honestly say, tooth pain is the worst pain on the planet.  Even oxycodone has done little to nothing for the pain.  If i have to wait another day I might go stark raving mad!!!

 Needless to say, I have written nothing this weekend because I can not concentrate.  I’ve tried hot packs, cold packs, clove oil, and finally pain killers, and although they have all helped a little, they haven’t helped enough.

Hope to get some writing done as soon as I get this tooth taken care of.  Until then, sitting here to even write this blog takes too much concentration.  Have a good Monday everyone.

I tried this whole blog thing once before, and I discovered something. I suck at them. Still trying to figure out all the little screens and ins and outs of the admin area.
